Businesses around the world such as restaurants, movie theaters, stores, etc. are being shut down due to COVID-19. True Barrier is a family owned mask business out of Boston Massachusetts. Our goal is to keep families safe, and to keep restaurants and other business open. My family grew up in Danvers Massachusetts. As my brother and I grew up we started to watch a show called Shark Tank, were young entrepreneurs show their business ideas to investors. Ever since I was young I have wanted to create a business and be on Shark Tank. 

When COVID-19 hit, everyone was in shock and I was not allowed to go into stores. I was a 13 year old girl and all I wanted to do was something productive instead of watching TV all day because I do not like to sit still. One day when I saw my grandparents I remembered that when I was little my grandmother bought me a sewing machine and taught me how to sew. I told my parents that I wanted a new phone and they said I would have to pay for it. That is when I came up with the True Barrier. I wanted to find a way to help people and to do something to fill up my free time. I got right to work, and that was the beginning of True Barrier.
